Grand Hôtel du Palais Royal

The first time I went to Paris, I just fell in love with the city. The second time I went to Paris, it began to feel like a second home for me. On this third trip, I realized Paris has a piece of my heart and I needed to make myself a promise to try and go back every year.

I went to Paris with my friend Allysha, her first time to Paris and we had the pleasure of staying at the Grand Hôtel du Palais Royal. We arrived at 4 Rue de Valois and were immediately welcomed by the staff. While our room was still being prepared, we enjoyed coffee in the lobby, two girlfriends ready to begin a week in Paris but still just slowly fighting off the jetlag.
When we were shown our suite, the staff set up the cutest welcome arrangement for us, included with a beige beret that I could not help but wear every single day. It was one of the sweetest welcomes I have ever experienced in a hotel and I knew that we made the right choice by staying at the Grand Hôtel du Palais Royal.

The suite had a living room area, spacious closet space, and a bedroom that just filled with light. The bedroom was wrapped around by a balcony that gave us stunning views of Parisian rooftops. To welcome ourselves to the city, we toasted to a beautiful new adventure in this city because we knew it was going to be a trip to remember.
We settled in and unpacked. Between the two of us, we were so excited about this spacious suite because we were able to hang up all our clothes, lay out the accessories, etc. The bathroom included a shower, tub, and large enough mirror for us to both get ready at the same time. Our suite had everything we needed and more and we have to thank the staff for always making sure we felt right at home.

After a solid few hours on a plane, we were excited to sleep on our king size bed. We were so tempted to take a nap as soon as we got there but had to fight through. However that first night was one of the best night's sleep we ever had.
While there is no doubt we could have spent hours in our suite, we just really loved the surrounding neighborhood as well. Across the street from our hotel is the Palais-Royal, installed in the courtyard is The Colonnes De Buren, 260 black and white striped columns. In the Palais-Royal is also one of my favorite gardens and coffee shops as well. I loved how easy it was to take a stroll through here after waking up and fetching my morning cup of coffee.
But of course, I can't forget about Rue Saint Honore because being so close to all that shopping is definitely a must for me in Paris. Doesn't matter if I'm on a work trip or vacation, shopping and walking around will always be my go to form of cardio. And I think it's safe to say Allysha and I had a successful trip.

I'll miss the mornings on this Parisian balcony and evening champagne as the sun sets. Thank you so much to the Grand Hôtel du Palais Royal for a beautiful stay and we hope to be back very soon.
