Trusting Time with Cluse

Sometimes you can create a plan for yourself, but when things don't go accordingly, you need to trust that things will happen when the time is right. Whether it's school, career, a relationship, or just anything else in life, things have a funny way of working out when it's meant to. I've learned that patience is key and it's important to trust the timing in which things are happening.

I'm trusting time with my CLUSE La Roche Petite Gold Black Marble. This beautiful timepiece includes a genuine marble dial meaning each one is different. Which CLUSE watch is helping you trust time?

Night-Time Skin Regimen

If you're here, it might be because you just saw my evening's skincare routine on my Instagram Stories. I realize it's a lot of product information so I wanted you guys to be able to see everything all at once as well as some other products that I use and swap around with. Keep in mind that this is just my NIGHT routine and the morning routine will come along in the next few days (or I'll at least try to) but my morning routine is definitely not as heavy as what I do before bed. Most mornings will probably be 3-4 steps at most but what I do after a long day is definitely something I look forward to.

When I was a teenager, I definitely battled acne and I still have some scarring to prove it. Over the past year or two, I've definitely been fortunate enough to have worked with some of my favorite brands and these products have literally saved my skin. To begin, let me mention what my skin is like:

Combination Skin - Tendency for Dryness in Cold Months
Had Acne as a Teen. Some Dark Spots + Scarring in Cheek Area
Large Pores on Nose and A Little Into Cheek Area
Need to Exfoliate Between Chin/Mouth Area, Nose Sides, and Temples

After a long day and after finally getting settled in at home, my routine begins with removing my make-up. I pretty much use tinted moisturizer 99% of the time because I just prefer a lighter coverage to allow my skin to breathe better. Full coverage just isn't something I'm too into so take this into consideration as well.

I like to use the Neutrogena Make-Up Remover Cleansing Towelettes: Regular or Night Calming. I have no preference between the two types.

What I use to wash my face depends on what I want to achieve with my skin. Also don't forget that when you're done washing your face, pat your skin dry with a towel. NO SCRUBBING! And don't forget to wash your neck too.
I use the Clarisonic MIA 1 with any of these. Here are my Top 3 Face Washes:
When My Skin is Dry: La Mer Cleansing Foam
When My Skin is Normal: Mario Badescu Orange Cleansing Soap
If you're having issues with Acne, I love the Mario Badescu Acne Facial Cleanser

I love the Biore Deep Cleansing Pore Strips. And I always think of that scene in Princess Diaries whenever I wear them. I like to do this after cleansing my face, 2-3 times a week depending on necessity, opening up with pores with warm water and applying the strip. I peel it off slowly and then close the pores off with cold water.

About once or twice a week, I'll exfoliate my skin with the First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads. I'll do this on whichever day I'm not using a pore strip. As I mentioned earlier, the areas that I need to exfoliate is the area between my mouth/chin, sides of my nose, and sometimes my temples. With this, my skin goes from bumpy and rough to baby soft. This was a game changer for me because I was someone who never thought too much of exfoliating, but I realize now, it makes such a difference.

My go-to on a daily basis is the La Mer Cleansing Micellar Water just to sweep away any other dirt, impurities, while still moisturizing my skin. If I feel like I need to even out my skin's texture or tone, I will use my La Mer Treatment Lotion. Other great toners that I've tried and enjoyed would be the Estée Lauder Micro Essence, SK-II Facial Treatment Essence, and for a more affordable option, the Mario Badescu Aloe Vera Toner.

Once I'm done with my toner,  I go in with something I just recently fell in love with: Estée Lauder Idealist Pore Minimizing Skin RefinisherTo quote Mean Girls, "My pores are huge!" I'd even use this as a primer before applying my tinted moisturizer.

I can't stress enough how important it is to moisturize. On a daily basis, I go with my La Mer Moisturizing Soft Lotion. For nights before a special occasion or maybe every other night, I'll use the Sunday Riley CEO to brighten up and firm my skin. It smells amazing and I love how my skin looks in the morning! Other great moisturizers: First Aid Beauty Coconut Skin Smoothie Moisturizer or Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion.

You won't have to worry too much about concealing eye-bags with these products. These have definitely helped me reduce the look of dark circles when I don't get enough sleep! La Mer Eye Concentrate, Illuminating Eye Gel, or Lifting Eye Serum. My favorite is definitely the "Illuminating Eye Gel."

Other products that I love using every now and then, definitely not every day or night products for me, are listed below. Whether it's tightening the look of the skin, acne problems, etc. These have been great for me to use every now and then!

I hope you guys have found this post helpful! This post is not sponsored and I stand by all products that I've mentioned. Please keep in mind that everyone's skin is different so results may not exactly be the same but the key is definitely to be consistent. I've got my fair share of nights where all I wanna do is remove my make-up and call it a day, but having a routine has definitely helped me see an improvement in my skin.

Skincare should always come first because it does make a difference in how your make-up looks and feels when you put it on top! I'm really excited to put together a make-up routine post for you guys and I'll be sure to mention my morning skin regimen in that as well. Feel free to ask any questions in the comments below and I'll try my best to answer. Have a great rest of the week, guys!

Take the Trip | LA

I'll admit, that ever since Marco and I started dating, I always wanted to travel with him, experience different cities and countries with him, etc. Over the years, I've definitely loved being able to go on those adventures together but it's also important to still be able to travel even without your significant other. What I've loved about our relationship from the beginning is that we know when it's our time together and we know when we're just doing our own thing.

Maintaining your independence even within a relationship is so important; you don't need to always have your significant other with you when you're hanging out with friends, you shouldn't keep yourself from doing something just because your significant other can't or doesn't want to. If you have the opportunity to travel, experience something new, take advantage of it, and your significant other should want that for you. I loved traveling back to LA, and although Marco wasn't able to come on this trip, we'll experience Los Angeles together another time.

Exploring LA with my girlfriends was so much fun, and one of the best parts is having even more outfit choices because you get to borrow each other's clothes. (Thanks Vern for letting me borrow your jacket!) I can't wait for more trips with friends, but of course, I'm so excited to travel back to Europe with Marco again this summer. Doing things together is wonderful, but doing things on your own can be wonderful too.

Givenchy Nightingale from Reebonz

What I like to think of as the more laid back little sister of my Antigona, I'm welcoming a  Givenchy Nightingale Micro to my collection thanks to REEBONZ. As a girl who loves designer bags, it's always so much more satisfying when you find a bag you've been eyeing for a discounted price. I received my bag in less than a week and was ecstatic to do a true unboxing on my YouTube channel. You can find that video here.

The packaging was perfect and I loved the bag I got from REEBONZ, in perfect condition, I'm excited to share with you all the latest addition to my Givenchy family. I've been on the hunt for a good casual and everyday bag that was easy to carry. Be sure to check out the selection at REEBONZ and see what bag you can treat yourself to! By clicking the link below, you can take $30 USD off your first order and then take an additional 18% off with my code "18ALYSSA" until April 15, 2017 - 11:59PM (PST)

Details on this bag below!
I just really gravitated towards the slouchy laid back look of the Nightingale compared to my Antigona. The Antigona has been a favorite of mine since I purchased it for my 24th birthday, however, there are days where carrying that bag can just be a little much. The micro sized Nightingale was perfect for when all I needed to carry were the bare necessities: cellphone, wallet, keys, and a pair of sunglasses to complete the look.

The bag comes with the Givenchy card where you'll find a book on how to care for the bag as well as a sample swatch of the material that the bag is made with. This is made of Calfskin Leather, two-way zippers, carry handles, and an adjustable strap. The inside has a zip pocket as well as a wall and smartphone pocket.

8 ¾"W x 8"H x 2 ¼"D
3" Strap Drop; 19" - 21 ½" Shoulder Strap Drop

I've been using this bag non-stop since I got it. In comparison to my Medium-sized Antigona, you can image it definitely fits much less, but it does fit everything I really need for a day on the go. If you're on the hunt for a new bag but don't want to break the bank, be sure to check out for some great deals on beautiful bags at a discounted price. Happy shopping!

No Excuses with BloomThat

There will be days where you can't be there for someone's special day, whether it's their birthday, anniversary, graduation, etc., but the good old tradition of sending flowers never goes out of style. It's a great way to show that person that even though you can't be there for them, you're still thinking of them. There's no excuse for not even making a gesture to show someone you care about them or are thinking about them. I love the selection of beautiful arrangements on BloomThat so while I was on a trip to Los Angeles during my mom's birthday, I made sure she knew I was thinking of her and surprised her with some flowers on her special day.

Whether it's for a special occasion, or just because, my go-to for flowers is BloomThat.

The Robe by AYR

For the longest time, I've been on the hunt for the perfect camel coat, a transitional piece that I can wear all year round... and coincidentally, the holy grail of camel coats was at AYR (All Year Round). After trying it on and leaving it behind, I made my way back to the NYC pop-up where I finally made the investment the day before leaving for LA and I've worn it practically every day since.

A camel coat is an essential wardrobe staple, worn over my athletic/leisure outfits, jeans and a t-shirt, or even dressed up over a cocktail dress. The possibilities are endless with a piece like this. "The Robe" is made of 100% Camel Hair and just drapes in the most flattering way possible. Going from NYC to LA proved that this coat works anywhere, anytime, and with practically anything. Shop yours below and if you're in New York, be sure to stop by their pop-up on 199 Lafayette St. New York, NY.
