Lovers + Friends Off The Shoulder

There's a reason why you see off-the-shoulder tops everywhere; they're extremely flattering. I'm particularly obsessed with this one that was sent to me by Lovers + Friends, one of my favorite brands from Revolve. The eyelet detail adds an extra summery charm to it that separates it from most off-the-shoulder tops that you can see circulating Instagram. Because of it's banded top, it's extremely comfortable to wear for a beautiful summer day. Shop some of my favorite pieces from Lovers + Friends in the links below, it'll be the perfect addition to your wardrobe for the upcoming months.

The Lantern Fest

Sometimes we get so caught up in our own lives that we forget how important those little things are, the people we surround ourselves with, being grateful, remembering to just let go of the bad vibes and energy life can sometimes throw at us. This past weekend, I experienced one of the most magical nights of my life at LanternFest in Pennsylvania with amazing friends. To be surrounded by so much love and positivity is truly an incredible experience, especially in a world where we focus so much on what's wrong and what's bad. I let go of all that negativity and look forward to always looking at the brighter side of life. Check out the experience in the video below. If there's one near you, I definitely suggest making the efforts to attend one. You won't regret it!

See if there's a festival near you here.

Bobbi Brown Summer

Less is more, especially if we're talking about summer face routines. When it comes to those hot summer months, the less make-up I'm wearing, the better. Bobbi Brown is sure to make your summer routine effortless and light. First, let's talk about the Balm Rinse. After a long winter, my skin is in need of some serious repair from dryness. The Balm Rinse is perfect for getting my skin back in check, keeping it hydrated and bringing some life back into it.  Part of the Beach Nudes Collection, the Bobbi Brown eye palette is perfect for both day and night looks. This compact palette is perfect to take on the go and not to mention, you've got all the shades you need in one easy to carry compact case!

Summer means that beautiful glow and there's no reason to hide it under a ton of make up. I love sticking to some light concealer and primarily use my BB cream just to even out my skin tone. It allows my skin to breathe while still giving me protection from the sun. I can't stress enough how great it is to apply a face base that also includes SPF, because who wants early wrinkles? I don't. Even on my very light make up days, the eyebrows need to be done. There's just no doubt about it. Check out their new Long-wear Brow Gel as well, designed to keep up with you during your long and hot summer days. And last but not least, the lips. Bobbi Brown created great nude/pink summer shades that will be perfect against your glowing summer skin. Shop all these products below!

The Leathers

Leathers, including vegan, are essential to my wardrobe. Things that are worth the splurge definitely include motorcycle jackets and handbags and then it's great to also find amazing staples that don't hurt the bank by going the vegan leather route. There's something great about an all leather, or at least in this case mostly leather look. To break it up, I paired a light cozy sweater among some of my favorite leather pieces.

Louis Vuitton Josephine Wallet

I've been through my fair share of wallets, and nothing seems to quite hold up like the leather of Louis Vuitton. Some days I opt for just carrying around my card holder but it's always nice to have a long wallet that can store everything you need without being too bulky. The "Josephine" wallet is the perfect long wallet because of it's slim size and easy access slots. Not to mention it passed my "handbag test" where I make sure this can fit in the smallest bag in my collection comfortably.

The wallet comes with four card compartments and three pockets not counting the removable zip compartment. The dimensions are 7.5 x 3.9 inches (Length x Height) - 4 credit card slots - 1 interior removable zipped pocket for coins - 1 interior compartment for bills - 1 large interior compartment for ID card and other receipts - Grained calf leather lining - Golden color metallic pieces.

The fuchsia adds a bit of color into my life and I'm always a sucker for the small leather goods of Louis Vuitton and heat stamping it for further personalization. I opted for the gold stamping with my full name's initials on the bottom right corner, a nice touch against the beautiful interior color of the wallet. Cozy Dressing

The weather in NYC can be unpredictable. One day will be sunny and the next day you'll find yourself reaching for that oversized sweater. I absolutely love dressing for chillier days because that means I get to cozy up in something big and oversized. This outfit formula; booties, tights, a dress, and sweater is perfect for those transitional months. Shop this look below!

What's summer if you don't have a gigantic pool float to lounge on? It's a summer of the Unicorn and I'm absolutely in love with this one thanks to GetFloaty. Though it may be a little pricier than your average pizza slice or pretzel float, this is going to make your summer photos stand out. Because I don't have a pool or access to one, I was that person that took it to the beach, and I have to say that I will definitely do it again. Shop some amazing floats below!

Inside My Bedroom

It doesn't get more personal than showing you my bedroom. Ever since I started studying Interior Design (now graduated) my room has been through many changes to go along with my style and design aesthetic. As time went on, it became more apparent that my style leaned more towards black and white, which I always associated with simplicity and elegance. If you wanted to match my Instagram feed with my space, I think it's pretty obvious that the two are quite similar.

I've always loved the idea of an open closet-room, and for my future home, I'll definitely need a second room to create my closet and workspace. Because my room is quite small, I had to make the most of it, sticking to white furnishings and textiles helped brighten up my space. I'm also fortunate that the morning light shines through my window, making my room very ethereal until the sun begins to set. When it comes to furnishings, there are some things I believe you can achieve on a budget, and some things that are definitely worth paying a little extra for.

Save: Furnishings. Most of the furniture you'll see in my room are from Ikea, and if you're not rough on your furniture, they'll last a long time. All the white furnishings are from the Swedish Superstore and the clothing rack can be found at Target. As for the make-up organizer, you can find lots of components at the Container Store, another great place to find things for around the home.

Splurge: Textiles. You're either on your feet or in bed, so it's wise to invest in a comfortable nights sleep. Skip the cheap mattress topper and get the memory foam to ensure the best possible sleep you can. My bedding is from West Elm, and I guarantee you won't regret splurging on your bedding. When it comes to thread count, pay attention, not just with the high number but to check the material of the sheets as well. I'm a sucker for a well-styled bed so don't be afraid to mix your textures.

The years that I worked retail while in school definitely paid off in more ways than one. Because of that, or maybe because I've always been a perfectionist, the way my wardrobe is arranged is inspired by visual merchandising. The way I like to organize my room is similar to the way a store would display their products. What you can't see is the shelves in my closet, where jeans are color coordinated and arranged by style and size. In my drawers, clothing is categorized and color coordinated as well. As for my token white pieces, the hangers are finger spaced and this singular palette just goes well in contrast to my handbags on display. Bookcases are great for organizing other belongings in a space too. My future closet-room will definitely utilize an arrangement of shelves and clothing racks to appropriately house all my favorite things. Hope you feel inspired and you can also shop some of my interior favorites below!
