Off The Shoulder Obsession

If there is something I've become completely obsessed with this season, it's off-the-shoulder tops. I am all about those airy and flowy pieces for the summer so I've added several OTS tops, most of them white, into my wardrobe. They're perfect for wearing over your bikini at the beach, over a skirt, shorts, culottes, skinny jeans, boyfriend jeans, the possibilities are endless when it comes to this trend that I'm hoping comes back around every spring and summer season. With Memorial Day Weekend right around the corner, be sure to snag up some great OTS pieces and check out my selections below! Stay tuned for the full blog post for this look coming soon. :)

Graduated and Thankful

To my fellow classmates and graduates, thank you and congratulations. To my loving and supportive parents, thank you. To my family that always cheered me on and pushed me to be better, thank you. To my friends that inspired me and motivated me every day, thank you. To my boyfriend that is always there when I need him, my biggest fan, thank you. And to everyone else that I haven't met yet, but inspired me through other means, my followers, my readers, thank you. Last week I finally graduated college Cum Laude with a BFA in Interior Design, something I have been pursuing for the past four years. This is for you guys, for everyone that believed in me even when I didn't believe in myself. I wouldn't be where I am without you guys.

To everyone else that graduated this year or is graduating this year, I hope that our generation can continue to learn from one another and also teach each other through our creativity, our imagination, to inspire with our determination to reach our goals and will to accomplish what we aspire to be. We know no limits and that's a powerful thing. We're blessed to live in a time where it's so easy to connect with each other, to share ideas, learn, travel, etc. As we enter "the real world," let's remember that rather than competing against our peers, we should empower and push each other to the best of our abilities. This is a time to celebrate how we finally accomplished what we've wanted for ourselves and for what our parents wanted for us as well.

Here's to all those late nights that we stayed up finishing projects or studying for exams. Here's to coffee being our hero in the mornings when we just couldn't. Here's to proving wrong the people that thought that we couldn't. Here's to us using our voices and our minds to continue creating a world where we can be ourselves, be accepting, forgiving, and open minded. Congratulations to the Class of 2016.

I never anticipated being this emotional around graduation time, but it has finally hit me that a chapter of our lives has come to an end. From the cards I've received from family and friends, the words that people took the time to write for me, people I have worked with, people I have interacted with through social platforms, and people I have met through blogging and social media, I know that I wouldn't be the person I am today if it wasn't for each and every person that has been a part of my life until this point. I am so blessed and thankful for all the opportunities that my parents have given me and what they sacrificed for me to follow my dreams. I promise that as I take on the world, I will continue to make you proud and won't let you down. I do not know what the future holds for me but I am ready for this next chapter to begin.

Karen Millen Jumpsuit

Now here's something we don't see often: me in a colorful jumpsuit. But Karen Millen had me feeling some type of way about it. I'm getting close to the end of my Paris looks and I must say, it's definitely a bittersweet feeling. Jumpsuits are great for dressing up or dressing down, depending on your accessories, it's definitely a versatile piece to have in your wardrobe. Because Paris didn't exactly have the warm spring weather I was hoping for, I styled it with my leather jacket for warmth and a little bit of edge. For more great pieces to style this summer, be sure to check out the Karen Millen website.

Fondation Louis Vuitton

Architecture and design peaked my interest at an early age. It's why I decided to switch majors, prolong my time at college, to graduate with a degree in Interior Design. Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris was one of the most incredible spaces to be in. Granted, I explored many places during this trip that boasted culture and history, but the modern spectacle of this space by Frank Gehry was unbelievable. Perhaps the next time I find myself in Paris will be under warmer conditions, but for this day, the sweater dress, leather moto, and sneaker combo did the trick.

Pont Alexandre III

Comfort is always my priority, with the exception of some high heels that I endure pain for. I'm still sorting through photos from Paris that I have yet to publish and I must admit, this look was one of my favorites in terms of looks for the blog. I know it's spring when my pieces become less black and grey and the jeans and whites begin to come out again. I definitely used to be all about buying those designer denims but these Brandy Melville distressed boyfriend jeans are probably one of my favorite pairs. I'm all about that go-to combination of denim + white + beige when it's warmer out, although you can really see that gloomy Parisian weather in these shots. The sun played hide and seek with us most days but we took what we could get. Paired with my Chanel Espadrilles, that I can't believe are still holding up, I wandered around this beautiful city a little bit more.

Mom Jeans in Montmartre

Safe to say that the past two weeks have been the busiest and most hectic I have been all semester. Due to finals and finishing up my senior thesis, I haven't managed to sneak in a blog post but it's the homestretch and I'm almost done with my undergraduate career! But enough about that and onto another one of my looks during my trip to Paris.

As someone who practically has a skinny jean in every possible denim shade, it was nice taking a break from such a form-fitting silhouette. The "mom jean" is back in style and I have to say, I'm not mad about it. For my body type, it's definitely flattering when paired with the right pieces. For this look, I opted for booties, duster coat, and a crop top for a day spent exploring Montmartre on one of the nicer days of our trip. Shop some amazing "mom jeans" below!
