Christian Louboutin Pigalle

I thought I would do a #TuesdayShoesday mini post! These were a gift from the boyfriend, well half, and I paid for the other half. These are my third pair of Christian Louboutin heels, something I never thought I'd be able to say. I dreamed of owning just one but I'm so fortunate for the work opportunities I have been given to work and save up enough to keep my shoe collection growing! These are the Pigalle 120mm in nude, a color extremely difficult to find in ones size. I was fortunate enough to find them at the boutique on Madison Ave, the last ones in New York City at the time.

The Pigalle is one of the signature styles by Christian Louboutin, who is actually my school's commencement speaker for this years graduating class! But anyways, back to the shoes. They're extremely elegant and classic, however they do pinch your feet a little. If you're iffy about splurging, I hope this helps you with your decision. Shop this piece below and read more for other details about the Pigalle.

The Pigalle has undergone a makeover throughout the years. The style is a little different than what it used to be, more true to size, shorter nose, slightly shorter heel, etc. However, it still remains classic and beautiful. They currently retail for $625 and come in a variety of styles and colors. Among those styles are the Plato and Spikes for the more adventurous fashionista.

I've gotten this question a lot, "Do they hurt?" Honestly, yes. They do. Like all shoes, they need to be broken in before you can wear them comfortably for a long amount of time. Some tips:
  • Take them to a Christian Louboutin boutique, they may have a machine that will stretch it out for you.
  • Wear them with socks around the house.
  • Always lotion before putting on the shoes.
  • Stuff them with newspaper, the chemicals stretch the leather.

Aside from the Pigalle, Lady Peep and Rolando are also in my collection. Although they aren't the most comfortable, this is definitely my favorite style that I own. I love how simple it is and how it looks worn. I'll have to do an outfit post including them one day! Maybe for one of my dressier occasions! Thanks for reading!
