Classic Army Jacket

I have a new found love for Aritzia and I can't believe it's taken me this long to fall in love with all the pieces that the store has to offer. Maybe it's me maturing and finally deciding it's time to graduate from mostly shopping at Forever 21 and H&M. Or maybe, it's because of doing so well at work that spending over $20 for basic tops doesn't seem as ridiculous as it used to be. I'm not saying that I will never shop at H&M or Forever 21 because they do have great pieces too! I just meant that investing in staple pieces is essential in a wardrobe, if it's going to last longer than a few washes, it's definitely worth it. If it can be worn for many seasons and will never go out of style, I don't mind paying for something that will be worth it in the long run!

After getting all my grades in for the spring semester, I decided that I deserved to treat myself. I went shopping in SoHo on Thursday and got a little carried away at Aritzia, Topshop, Zara, and Bloomingdales, not to mention my online shopping at Target and Nordstrom because of all the sales going on for this weekend... #SorryNotSorry. The weather hasn't been as warm as I would like it to be for May and I was definitely in need of replacing my old Abercrombie & Fitch jacket from the 8th grade... A reliable military jacket is something that I know will be usable for many more seasons to come. Read more to get the details of this casual look with two of my new pieces from Aritzia.

I had to work yesterday morning and then commute to New Jersey afterwards. I decided on a really relaxed and comfortable fit and knew that the newest additions to my wardrobe would be perfect. I purchased this Talula jacket and Wilfred Free tank from Aritzia on Thursday, which you can find here and here. My liquid leggings are from Forever 21, purchased about a year ago.

With this outfit, I decided to go with my reliable Chanel Espadrilles and Saint Laurent Sac De Jour. I love going with these more subdued colors. It was a gloomy and cloudy day so a grey, olive, and black outfit combo only seemed fitting.

I fell in love with the cut of this tank the minute that I tried it on. I actually loved it so much that I purchased it in black as well. The top is made up of thick and stretchy fabric and it's definitely a lot more comfortable than a thin tank that you buy for under $10.

I hope everyone enjoys their Memorial Day Weekend whether it's with family/friends or just shopping because of those great Memorial Day sales! Be sure to take advantage of the designer sales going on at Bloomingdales and Nordstrom especially! Thank you so much for reading!
