About

Born: Manila, Philippines | Raised: New York City, New York

From the early years of dial-up connection, embarrassing AIM screen names, Xanga, Myspace, etc., social media has always played a huge role in my life. It's how I connected with others, expressed my creativity, and got inspired by so many people from all over the world. Over the years, my fondness for fashion, travel, writing, and photography grew, and as the world of social media grew as well, I found myself on a journey I never expected to be on.

I was born in Manila and even though I moved to NYC when I was 8, I made sure that I maintained that connection to my roots. My family and culture remind me to always be thankful for my blessings and that has helped me remind myself to never take anything for granted. Growing up mainly in New York City has taught me a lot and it's shaped me to be the person I am today; my style, the way I go through life, how I deal with obstacles, etc. I graduated from The Fashion Institute of Technology with a degree in Interior Design with a background in business marketing and advertising as well. My aesthetic and eye for design was definitely shaped throughout my years at school. WWW.ALYSSA-LENORE.COM blog began halfway through my higher education and evolved into something so much bigger than I thought it would be.

This blog is a collection of different aspects of my life; from my relationship to outfits throughout the years, personal stories/insight to ideas of decor and organization, and my experiences through travel to tips or tricks that I've learned along the way. Styled & Smitten is a place where I share my personal style and all the things I'm smitten with in life. This is just the beginning but I think we're onto something good here.

A special thank you to my boyfriend, Marco P., who has been my #1 supporter from the beginning and main photographer. I wouldn't be here without you, especially.
