Note to Self

Spring brings out this feeling of a fresh start and it's different from that "brand new year" feeling that I can't explain. The past two months have been extremely hectic and the last month, especially, was full of stress, anxieties, and I'm just glad that it's over. While the weather finally gets warmer and  the flowers begin to bloom, I've had some time to really think about things. This post is going to get a bit more personal. To be honest, I'm just writing and seeing where my mind takes me.

The world isn't always going to work in your favor. There will be challenges and unexpected events that are beyond your control. You'll get anxious, you'll feel alone, there will be nights that you just feel like everything is wrong. But here's that reminder that time goes on, and everything eventually passes. This is your reminder that you have overcome things in the past and you can do it again. It's okay to not be okay, it's okay to remove yourself from a situation that just isn't good for you mentally or physically. Maybe both.

It's okay to take a step back and reset if that's what will help you feel better. It's okay to lean on someone when you need to, but it's also important to be able to trust yourself that you can manage on your own as well. It's normal to overthink and feel overwhelmed. You are human. Take a step back, breathe, and figure out what is the best way to handle it. Start small, take it step by step, little by little.

Rest. Give yourself a break. Remember that you can do anything, but you cannot do everything. Stay hydrated, focus on your hustle, and don't talk yourself out of the goals that you really want to achieve. Believe in what you're doing and what you're working towards. Don't doubt yourself and take leaps of faith when you're given the opportunity to. Love yourself and treat yourself right. We're all going to be okay. May the Spring season, and beyond, be filled with light for you all.
