Wanderer Wanderer

Some people collect baseball cards, post cards, sneakers, etc. I collect handbags. When it comes to a busy day in the city, a small purse that can carry my basic needs, i.e. cellphone, wallet, keys, is definitely important. As an alternative to my pricier pieces, I'm loving the quality and sophistication of the Transient Thoughts Bag by Wanderer Wanderer. Made from genuine leather, the boxy shape gives it a classic feel, with the tassels giving it a trendier twist. It was the perfect piece to tie together my look full of basic pieces; heeled booties, leather leggings, plain white tee, and bomber jacket. Because of the details on this bag, it was able to really stand out in my look. Use my code "ALYSSA" to get 10% off your purchase from their site. You can shop other great staples and cute accessories at http://www.wandererwanderer.com/ and check out their Instagram and Facebook Page as well.

BloomThat

This year's Valentine's Day was simple and sweet, much like these bouquets from BloomThat. Forgetting about typical red roses, the pink tulips could make anyone's day. I spent the weekend cooped up at The Time New York, with the temperatures in single digits, hibernation seemed like the best way to celebrate Marco and I's 6th Valentine's Day together. Use my code "LENOREBLOOMS" to get $5 off any bouquet you send to your loved ones, you don't need an occasion or reason to send them besides wanting to make someone smile.

Canada Goose Montebello

The snowfall began late and night, and by morning, everything was covered in white. Knee deep, the morning after promised a neighborhood that would provide that ethereal glow. Luckily for me, I had just purchased my Canada Goose "Montebello" jacket, and I had it just in time for 2016's very first blizzard. They say it's astonishingly warm, and it's true. It's good to know that it was well worth the money since New York City is touching upon some single-digit weather this weekend. Having multiple coats, a heavy duty parka was definitely necessary. This is one piece I'll be bringing out for those harsh winters, paired with my The Fur House hat and my Emu winter boots. Stay warm!

New York, NY

I've lived in New York City since I was eight years old. Compared to growing up in Manila, it's a world of a difference. Frequenting the same few coffee shops, the MTA and walking being my primary mode of transportation, having my list of must try restaurants, I felt it appropriate to share some of my favorites. I've gotten multiple e-mails and messages from people letting me know about their upcoming trips to the big apple and what I recommend. Well, here's my little guide to the city that I love.

Transportation: Walk everywhere or take the train. With the amount of traffic in NYC and everyone hailing a cab or catching their Uber's, going underground is your best bet.

Places to See: Skip the top of the Empire State and climb Rockefeller instead, from there, you'll actually get a shot of the skyline with the ESB in your view. Check out The Mall at Central Park leading up to Bethesda Fountain. It's one of my favorite spots in the Park. West Village, Williamsburg and DUMBO are also great areas to hang out in.

Favorite Coffee Shops: Happy Bones, Chalait, Bibble & Sip (Get the Hot Chocolate), Bluestone Lane Collective Cafe, Spreadhouse, Toby's Estate in Williamsburg, Sweatshop, and AP Cafe.

Food: Ping's Seafood (Great Dim Sum, my favorite location is in Queens), Luke's Lobster, Spot Dessert Bar, Totto Ramen, Vive La Crepe, Clinton Street Baking Company, David Burke's Kitchen, Kang Ho Dong Baekjeong KBBQ, Bon Chon Chicken, Chicken & Rice on 53rd and 6th, Cantine Parisienne, Untitled at the Whitney, Buvette, Lady M, Insomnia Cookies, Baked By Melissa, Fig & Olive, and Sant Ambroeus in Soho.
