Draped

These famous NYC winters are just getting started, although I was happy to enjoy a "not-so-chilly" day that allowed me to get away with wearing two sweaters and a cozy blanket scarf. Heavily draped, I remained pretty cozy for an afternoon spent on the Upper East Side. For a double date with my boyfriend and our good friends, Van & Shun, this look was very casual and most importantly comfortable. I'm making the most out of the 30-degree days before things start to get really cold here in the city. Read more to get additional details and style tips on this layered look!

I paired two sweaters, both in the grey family together to keep myself warm. For additional coziness, this plaid scarf from Zara was the perfect accessory to top off my look and in my attempt to add color, my rose milk Chloé Marcie added a little something different to this outfit. I've been trying to rotate around my handbags for the past few days and so far, each bag in my collection has been getting a little action. To balance the loose fitting tops, I stuck with my moto-style leggings from Topshop to complete the look. I love wearing slouchy sweaters all year round so this is the way I style a lot of my pieces, loose top, tight bottoms, and voila!

  3. I have that scarf and love it but it sheds A LOT! How do you prevent this? I want to wear it but it gets all over my clothes and hands. I love the double sweater trick!

    1. I haven't had any issues with shedding for this piece so I haven't really attempted any preventative measures yet. And thank you!
