Current Cravings

Well, this is no surprise. A week from turning 24 and I've updated my Birthday Wishlist, nothing too crazy though. The bag I want is still at the top of my list and I'm hoping that my tax refund will help towards the cause! I originally posted that I wanted to upgrade to a T5i but after meeting with a photographer and talking it over with my boyfriend, a full frame camera is the way to go. As an investment towards this blog, I'm excited to provide even better quality photos with this baby and family members and friends have told me they're going to donate to the cause. Additional things on this list that weren't in the last "Currently Coveting" post are Stuart Weitzman "Hijack" bootsTom Ford lipstick in nude blushMarc Jacobs DaisyVita Fede bracelet, Tiffany & Co. T ring, Aritzia Lin Sweater, and a Stella & Dot pendant. I'm looking forward to my 24th year and see what else 2015 has to offer. I can't wait to celebrate with family and friends as well as making the most out of NYFW the week after! I've got some great collaborations coming up and I am so blessed to be a part of, and I know that I owe it all to you guys that help make all this possible! Shop my birthday wish list below!

Foxiedox: Canary

I must admit, living about 10 minutes away from The Bushwick Collective has it's perks, such as always having a great location to shoot for the blog. This post is the first of my collaboration with Foxiedox and their Spring '15 collection from now until March. This street style brand features trendy pieces that can be found both online and in stores. Living in New York City for years has definitely drained the color out of my life, which is why many of my pieces are now white, black, and grey, but luckily, colorful walls are in abundance in this city. Read more to get additional details on this Foxiedox dress and where you can purchase it from!

Florida 2014

Last summer, Marco and I went on our annual vacation with his parents. Our first two summers together were spent in Ocean City, Maryland and our third in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. This past summer, we took a trip to Florida before our fall semester began. This doesn't beat our vacation in the Dominican Republic but I'm glad that we're able to travel together and share memories like Disney World together. We hope to travel even more as we get older and seek more adventures and new experiences. We put this together just for fun, I hope you enjoy! For our past videos you can find them here: Ocean City '12 and Punta Cana '13.

Draped

These famous NYC winters are just getting started, although I was happy to enjoy a "not-so-chilly" day that allowed me to get away with wearing two sweaters and a cozy blanket scarf. Heavily draped, I remained pretty cozy for an afternoon spent on the Upper East Side. For a double date with my boyfriend and our good friends, Van & Shun, this look was very casual and most importantly comfortable. I'm making the most out of the 30-degree days before things start to get really cold here in the city. Read more to get additional details and style tips on this layered look!

S&S Video Reel

I've been hanging out around Brooklyn a lot more lately. There's just something really charming about it. With multiple amazing restaurants in the area, pretty neighborhoods, and much quieter than Manhattan, I will definitely be hanging out here a lot more. For an afternoon with my boyfriend, we were in the Park Slope area to grab some Luke's Lobster, one of my favorite spots to get a lobster roll. I paired my cozy oversized Ann Taylor coat with a camel sweater from Aritzia, my ripped skinny jeans by Citizens of Humanity, and my Steve Madden Boots with my Céline Trio. If you have any suggestions of places I should visit the next time I'm in Brooklyn, that would be wonderful! Have a great weekend, everyone!

Simplicity

It seems like I've been indulging in a ton of new denim these days, from COH to 7FAM, Rag&Bone, etc. but seeing as how I have always been a fan of that "plain white tee and jeans" look, this new pair will certainly be worn for many more days to come. I have been on the hunt for the perfect pair of distressed jeans in a grey shade and I finally found them in the J Brand 620 skinny jeans. Some may say a look like this is too boring or simple but some days just call for something easy. Adding a patterned scarf and my favorite necklace made this the perfect outfit for a relaxing Saturday afternoon.

Winter Shag

I've been really into fuzzy and furry textures this winter and I immediately fell in love with this piece from Free People. When I spotted it during a flash 50% off sale, I just knew that I had to have it. I stepped out of my comfort zone a bit when purchasing this, but that's what fashion's all about, isn't it? Actually, that's what life consists of. But let's not get crazy because wearing all black, that's still well within my comfort level. Read more to get additional details on this look!

S&S + KPNYC Collab

Bundling up is definitely a must around this time of the year, but you don't necessarily have to compromise how good you feel in your clothes just because it might be in the single digits... right? A good friend of mine, Kamila, over at www.kamilapodnyc.com and I decided to shoot together after she just recently launched her own blog. Meeting up at a coffee shop was obvious and the photos to follow were definitely challenging due to the piercing winds we faced this day. Because of this day's weather, my wool-cashmere blend coat was needed along with a blanket scarf and jeans. Read more to get details on this look, additional shots of this day and shop these pieces below.

Parka Weather

The weather in NYC has demanded my parka and it amazes me that despite many years of living in this city, the winter weather and how cold it gets always manages to surprise me. No matter how many winters I have experienced, I still find myself thinking, "I can't believe it's this cold." Well, luckily I found this really great parka from ASOS and it's been keeping me quite warm for these chillier days. A utility coat doesn't have to be a drab, mix it up with the right pieces and you'll find yourself in a casual yet still cute look.

Current Cravings: Birthday Edition

I feel like every post I write begins with, "I can't believe it's already ___." But, I can't believe it's just one more month until my 24th Birthday! Due to the craziness of the holidays between working and interning, I wasn't able to do my usual end of the month IG post or a 2014 recap, but 2014 was an exceptional year for me and I couldn't be happier with the way things have panned out. Since my birthday is approaching, I thought it was appropriate to share some of the items that I currently have my eye on, with one particular piece at the very top of that list. Can you guess which one? Yeah, it's the Medium Givenchy Antigona. Following that, I've also been lusting after a Canon Rebel T5i, Céline Slip-On sneakers, Chanel Chance perfume, a YSL wallet, and a pair of COH boyfriend jeans. I'm still in the midst of planning what I want to do for my birthday but I'm hoping it will be filled with good vibes and good friends. Shop these pieces below!

Knits + Rips

Even though I'm a winter baby and my 24th birthday is quickly approaching, I'm still trying to take advantage of the warmer weather. Last weekend, Marco and I headed off to Park Slope again to have brunch at Cheryl's Global Soul. After our meal, we strolled by the Botanical Garden where we enjoyed the sun while we can. My Topshop boyfriend jeans and this Aéropostale knit were the perfect pair for my casual Friday look. I've already got a bunch of things lined up so I definitely can't wait to see what this new year has in store. Have a great week, everyone!

Family New Year Video

Happy New Year, everyone! I can't believe how incredible 2014 has been. Even though I had my fair share of highs and lows this past year, I know that from those struggles, it has molded me into becoming a much better version of myself. In honor of 2015, my family decided to start the year off with a fun family music video that I'm excited to share with you all. Here's to a year full of new adventures, love, and good vibes! I'll be back with regular blog posts soon, but until then, I hope you enjoy this video my family and I put together.
