Powder Blue in Bushwick

Saturday reached the mid 80s, a beautiful day to be out and about. While wandering around The Bushwick Collective, it took a while to find the right graffiti-covered wall to use as a backdrop for my photos, but Marco and I finally decided on this black and white piece against a brick wall. I paired my powder blue tank by Wilfred Free with my super light wash TNA denim shorts from Aritzia. To balance those light shades of blue, I decided to put my Saint Laurent Classic Y Clutch to good use along with my white and gold Dolce Vita's.

As you can tell, I'm a casual dresser. My outfit needs to be comfortable, first and foremost. I find that dressing for the summer can be quite challenging because you try to balance looking cute with an outfit that will allow you to stay cool but doesn't share way too much skin either. The obsession with Aritzia pieces are inevitable, especially this tank. I don't really wear powder blue and I didn't have any intentions of purchasing this tank until I tried it on and fell in love with the color. Maybe it's because it's close to white, and we all know how I gravitate towards that... However I find that this tank to be so versatile which is probably why I own it in different colors. I can dress it up or dress it down and I just have so many things in my closet to pair it with. As for the shorts, I love the super light wash that almost makes it look white. They're distressed perfectly and are incredibly comfortable to wear.

I love the way the gold contrasts against all of these light pieces. At first, I was going to pair this outfit with a black bag but when I saw my Saint Laurent clutch sitting there, I thought that I would take the opportunity to only use light pieces. In the end, I'm glad that I did. I will be doing a review of my Saint Laurent Classic Y Clutch soon, so stay tuned for that!

I need to spend more time wandering around the city for blog post backgrounds because we all know that there are a million possibilities. I definitely want to spend many summer days wandering around and exploring because although I've been here for years, there's still so much to see.
