Mint in Manhattan

Happy Friday, everyone! I'm glad the weekend is finally here and I'm extremely excited about this post! Yesterday, Marco and I had the pleasure of meeting Van Le of ForeverVanny and her boyfriend, Shun, for a really cute and fun double date. Through Twitter and Instagram, Van and I have been in contact and so we planned to do a collaboration for both of our blogs. When dinner at Maharlika was brought up, it turned into a double date instead of just a simple girls day. But I certainly didn't mind! They're such a cute couple and there wasn't one awkward moment between any of us. We all hit it off immediately and you probably wouldn't be able to tell it was our first time meeting each other. We spent the afternoon walking around Alphabet City and taking photos before grabbing dinner and going to multiple locations for dessert. Read more to get the details of this look and more shots from my outing in Manhattan with Van and our boyfriends!

SHOP THIS LOOK:

For this look, I wanted to wear something light and airy for the 80-degree day. I thought it would be the perfect day to wear this top I purchased from Aritzia about two weeks ago. I found something incredibly darling about this shirt when I first tried it on, it's so light and dainty, not to mention the color just took my breath away. The Beaudry Blouse was sold out in white, but that may have been a blessing in disguise. I love the mint color and we all know how badly I need to add color to my wardrobe. To keep with the light tones, my TNA shorts were a perfect match. I love how light the wash is that it almost looks like a pair of white denim shorts. They're incredibly comfortable that I may have to buy a pair in a darker wash as well.

As for my shoes, I wore my Sam Edelman Trina's once again. I just love the way they feel and that golden heel just gives it that little something extra, don't you think? The heel is perfect for walking around, not totally flat or too high that I would have difficulty walking after a while. Since I'm still saving up for my caramel colored bag, I had to choose from my selection of black bags. I wanted to wear something a little more slouchy so I opted for my Louis Vuitton Mahina XS.

  1. Hi alyssa! I was wondering if you could maybe take a picture of your ombre hair, like the back of it and from different angles but with straight hair so it's easier to see the colors. I've been dying to dye my hair an ombre color and I love how yours look. And I would love to show my hairdresser your hair so she could know how I want it like!

    1. Will do! The colors will appear darker with it straight, but I'll definitely try to! :)

  2. Beautiful top!! I love it and am wondering what size top you are wearing! Aritzia sizing is a bit confusing time to time:)

    1. I wear an XS at Aritzia, sometimes I can wear an XXS depending on the style/brand. :)
