As a part of Aeropostale's Style Council, I put together this look as a relaxed outfit that I would wear on a casual summer day. After the winter we've had here in New York, I'm dying for warm weather! (And a tan!) Aeropostale's pieces have come a long way since I was younger, just roaming around the mall after school, seeing monkeys and ducks on their shirts... no. Those "dark ages" of fashion are long gone! They're definitely a lot more fashion forward and I'm so glad that they're catering to an older audience nowadays, college guys and girls that keep up with what's trending and what's in style. It's not just for young teenage girls anymore, but there are multiple pieces that I have found to be staple pieces in my wardrobe. What I love about Aeropostale is that there are pieces for every style which I'm sure you'll see just by looking at their Instagram!

Bag: Louis Vuitton Mahina XS | Watch: Marc By Marc Jacobs Baker 36.5mm
This cardigan has been paired with multiple outfits. I've worn them with a romper, a dress, leggings, the list goes on and on. I just love how it's so lightweight yet it helps keep me warm when it gets a little chilly out. Long sweaters have become one of my favorites since the fall because they look great with practically everything. See, that's the thing with me. I look for versatile pieces. It's my rule when I'm shopping for clothes. When I pick something up, I run through my wardrobe at home and think of how many pieces it's going to go with. You'll probably see this cardigan in a lot of my #OOTD posts on my Instagram page.
These high-waisted shorts are great when it comes to proportions. It shows just enough and covers you in all the right places. High waisted bottoms are my favorite because it gives this illusion that I have much longer legs than I actually do. I just really wish I was born with that "Legs for Days" gene. But sadly... my torso to leg ratio is pretty average. Sad face. The heightened waistline extends your proportions in your favor. Who doesn't love cute clothes that make your legs look longer anyways?!
Since this is a casual look, I just wore my plain white Converse All-Stars (not photographed.) My Louis Vuitton Mahina bag was one of the first designer bags that I purchased. I believe I got this in 2007 or 2008 and it's held up so well since then. My collection of Louis Vuitton's have since grown since I was sixteen, my first being a multicolor tote that I later consigned. This bag is now discontinued, a limited edition piece that you can only obtain through consignment shops and resellers. However, I highly recommend it because it's such a simple and classic looking bag.
Thank you so much for reading and I am so excited for this summer. I have a lot of plans coming up that I can't wait to share with you all. :) I appreciate all the comments and feedback that you all leave me!
