Céline Trio Large in Red

If you follow me on Twitter, you know that I've been hunting for a red bag for the longest time. All of my bags are neutral colors such as black bags, shades of brown and nude, with the exception of my yellow Tory Burch Robinson Crossbody and my blue Louis Vuitton Epi Neverfull and Marc By Marc Jacobs bag. I knew I wanted a red bag, there was no doubt about it. If I was going to invest in a brightly colored bag, it had to be the right shade of red, the right size, the right style, etc.

For months, I was so set on getting a Fendi 2Jours Petite. I was certain that was going to be the one but when it came down to it, I couldn't commit. I had no plans of purchasing my red bag, but one afternoon on the Upper East Side with my boyfriend, it just happened all at once. We had gone to Bergdorf Goodman and I simply walked to the Celine section just to have a look at their selection. I knew the Large Trio had become highly coveted so when I asked if it was even there, I was surprised that they had just received a shipment of both sizes in all colors.

I tried her on and I instantly fell in love. I had debated between getting the smaller Trio in January as a birthday present to myself, but I went with a Saint Laurent Classic Y Clutch instead. When I tried on the large Trio, it was just the perfect color and size. I told them that I would come back because I had to think about it. I went to Fendi to try on the 2Jours but it just wasn't right. I didn't have the same feeling about this bag as I did with the Trio.

So, as you can see, I purchased the Large Celine Trio in Red. The current pricing is $1,050 for the small and $1,200 for the Large. The small is 8.5" Wide, 6" High, and 2" Deep. The large is 9.75" Wide, 7" High, and 2" Deep.

The shade of red that Celine chose is perfect, not too bright, not too dull, just right.

The Trio is called Trio because it consists of three separate compartments. One of the reasons I really loved this bag was that it had the option to be separated and one pouch can be used as a casual clutch. The strap is adjustable so you can decide how short or how long you want to wear it, whether it's hanging on one shoulder vertically or you decide to wear it across your body.

This is how the bag can be separated. There are snaps on each pouch, so you can wear just one, two, or all three of these pouches. I love how simple and minimalistic it is. The leather is absolutely beautiful and soft. The lining of this bag is a felt material and Celine Paris is stamped inside each of the three pouches as well.

It's actually amazing how much can fit in this bag without losing it's shape. When trying on this bag, I had to see if my long Saint Laurent wallet would fit, and it did. That's another reason why I loved this bag from the beginning.

My iPad mini fits inside which is wonderful for when I go to school and I've got one class that day. I don't have to carry too much but it helps to have my iPad with me as well. Along with the iPad, I fit my long Saint Laurent Large Classic Flap Wallet, my Tory Burch cardholder, keys, iPhone, Nars compact, headphones, lipstick, Ray-Ban Clubmasters, H&M Pouch, and I can aslo fit my battery pack charger in it as well.

All packed, this is what the bag looks like. As you can see, it is a little fatter, but it still retains it's minimalistic shape.

I absolutely love this bag and I'm so happy that I went with this instead of the 2Jours. The color makes me smile and I adore wearing this bag out. It adds so much to my outfit because I wear a lot of black and white in terms of my outfits. I hardly wear color so this bag does a lot for me. I'm so happy I have my summer bag, something small, simple, colorful, and practical!

  1. The challenges at the autumn/winter Céline show were especially superficial. I’m unsure where the mono-muffs came from – the single enormous mittens in bright fur at Celineukstore.co.uk

    1. I'm not a fan of the fur Celine pieces at all, I like the leather goods much more. When they had those fur shoes, I just didn't understand why. Thanks for reading!
